Car Hacking, Router exploitation, Linux Security & CTF Pwnables
DC416’s second meetup, hosted at TunnelBear. Nick Aleks presented on car hacking, billed as a live demo of wirelessly unlocking a car and turning its engine on. Sander Smith took on home router security, and Dolev Farhi’s talk was a demonstration of how fast a misconfigured Linux server gets hacked in the wild.
Harold Rodriguez covered how he approaches binary challenges in CTFs, from analyzing the binary and finding the vulnerability to building a working exploit, with a hands-on demo on the agenda. Jobspring helped organize the night.
