Police Talk Crypto Hacking, Blockchain Threat Platform And Meet A Spyware Dev

DC416’s April meetup, with three talks. Alpha Chan, a Toronto Police detective who manages a team at the Computer Cyber Crimes Unit, presented “Dude where is my BTC?”, drawing on covert operations, online investigations and, more recently, cryptocurrency investigations. The Sentinel Protocol was introduced as a blockchain-based threat reputation platform meant to prevent stolen cryptocurrency from re-entering circulation.

Garry Pejski gave “My Life As A Spyware Developer”, a talk for the Toronto hacker community on the perils of cyber-crime.
