Exploring Cyber Security Law & Building a Custom OSINT CTF Platform

A March meetup at Pivotal Labs with two talks. Chetan Phull and Idan Levy of Smartblock Law covered the law around data privacy and cybersecurity in Canada, including breach reporting obligations and data residency, plus the rules that apply to blockchain and cryptocurrency.

Peter Vicherek presented on how the Saigar team built the first OSINT CTF platform dedicated to locating missing persons. He talked through why a custom platform was needed and the lessons learned along the way, and the talk was set to end with a demo of the platform’s features.
