Exploiting CSVs & Securing Neural Networks

Wednesday, October 23, 2019 · Design Exchange, Toronto ·160 attended

The October 2019 meetup at Design Exchange’s Exhibition Hall had two talks. Adam Greenhill’s Export to RCE explained CSV injection, where a web app’s unsanitized CSV export turns into remote code execution when someone opens the poisoned file, and how to prevent it. Tahseen Shabab, CEO of Bibu Labs, shared early strategies for security analysis of neural networks. His abstract pointed to two researchers who had easily bypassed the AI-powered Cylance antivirus, acquired by Blackberry for $1.4B.

BlueCat Networks and Security Compass sponsored the night.
